Q-MAC’s HF-90M military grade transceiver is well suited to demanding tactical use.  Built on the same electronic platform as the HF-90, the HF-90M provides the extra level of ruggedness that is required for military, special forces, border security, homeland defence and peace keeping applications. It meets military standards for full immersion in water, drop, shock, dust and temperature extremes.

The all-purpose HF-90M transceiver is designed for long-range manpack, portable, vehicle and fixed base station applications.  Q-MAC offers a full complement of accessories, including carry packs and cases; power amplifiers; antenna tuners; chargers; secure modes; and data transfer options, further increasing the versatility of the HF-90M transceiver.

The HF-90M has been designed with the tactical user in mind - not only is the unit compact and light weight, but it is also simple to operate, featuring only essential controls on the front panel to ensure ease of operation.  Advanced programming functionality is available in sub-menus and the unit can be either field or PC programmed.

Q-MAC’s HF-90M transceiver has a quality, high specification design. It provides full frequency coverage from 2-30 MHz and has capacity for up to 255 programmed channels. In tactical frequencies, the unit can operate at selected power levels up to 50W, whilst achieving low battery consumption.  The HF-90M is also extremely reliable due to the advanced SMD manufacturing process used and the overall design efficiency.  The specifications of the HF-90M will enable reliable communications up to distances of 3000km. In addition, the transceiver incorporates superior signal handling capability which ensures excellent reception even in the most crowded radio environments.
